DIRECTIONS TO OUR KENNEL
Directions from I-26East: Take Exit #212 onto I-526 WEST toward Savannah. Go to end. Turn right onto Hwy 17 south (Savannah Hwy. Go ~4 1/2 miles to intersection by Waffle House & Burger King and proceed as follows:
Directions from Savannah Hwy: turn left by Burger King onto Main Rd, go to the next traffic light and turn right onto Chisolm Rd. We are 1.7 miles down on left (large mailbox of a Weimaraner w/ purple hat!).
An easy way to find us: About 1 mile down Chisolm Rd.on the right side is a development, Gift Plantation which has 3 entrances. Our driveway is across the street from the 3rd Entrance to Gift Plantation.
There is a small sign at the foot of the driveway "Silversmith Farm". Go up driveway and - even if the gate is open - just before the gate there is a call box. Press the "DOORBELL" button to tell us you are at the gate (rings in all the buildings), and someone will open it/come out for you. Go through the gate and take the left fork (Signs say KENNEL) which brings you up to the front of the kennel's front door.
From Maybank Hwy: from Folly Rd turn onto Maybank Hwy, go over the Stono River and to the first traffic light on Johns Island (Hess station/Burger King) and turn right onto River Rd. Go to next traffic light (intersection of Main Rd) and go straight across - the name becomes Chisolm Rd. Proceed as above.
From I -95 North (GA and FL): Exit 33 in SC "Beaufort Charleston Hwy 17 North". Go thru several small towns; then Jacksonboro (warning: speedtrap!!!) and then Ravenel (warning: speedtrap!!!). After Ravenel , look for big intersection with Burger King on right. Turn right and proceed as above.
WARNING!!! Our 3 Weimaraner guard dogs are let out at 9:00 PM to patrol the grounds. Do NOT come in after 9PM!!
